OK Folks:

Don't know why I didn't post this before now (I think my mind is going)!

Our local club is hosting a Special Events Station for the 200th Anniversary of Louisiana and the 100th Anniversary of the state flag.

We operated from 8am till 8pm local time today, and will be operating from 8am till 5 or 6pm tomorrow.

Today we put almost 400 qso's into the logbook and had a really good time with quite a few members of the club. The girls got on in the afternoon and probably did 50-60 contacts between the two of them.

Would love for all to swing by and grab a contact tomorrow. During the day we will be operating mostly on 20m (14.265 plus or minus qrm).
If you want to see the info on the event, it is posted on qrz.com under K5LSA. Go take a gander!

Here is our setup from today. We were operating out of the mobile unit using a FT450d and the tribander on the portable tower.

Would love to have you check in for a chat. I will be back on site around 1pm after church tomorrow, and will probably be there to help tear down.

Well, Galen, there was this little puff of wind and a few raindrops called Isaac that, as nearly as doesn't matter, centerpunched you a week or two ago. I guess we can cut you a little slack for that.

Ok just got back from the event.

We had a great time, and logged around 650-700 contacts for the event. There were about 8 or 9 from the club today (a little down from yesterday).

20m was hot again today for us and I think we may have made contacts in every state except Hawaii, Alaska and Rhode Island (we think). Will know for sure when the logs are all tallied up.
