This one might be easy.

A planet's small moon or a big rock in space with holes in it. I'm guessing a moon of Uranus.

Weird looking "craters" if you ask me. ;)

It's probably something wierd like a seashell.

As to Judge Crater, the lighting and textures seem to be about the same.

It is a space object, an asteroid named Vesta.

When I first saw the image, I thought it was a seashell, specifically a clam shell, that had been crusted over with a coral or similar growth. Some of the craters look like holes some sort of worm might have lived in, and the thing itself is not quite round.

Dang.....

I was thinking of two different scenarios. One was something spacey and the other was wood.

It looks very similar to a Myrtlewood which can be found on the west coast (OR and WA). There are little shops along HWY 1 through these states that sell beautiful pieces. It looked like a burl.

Oh well maybe next time.

It looked like a Tektite to me, a stone I picked up in Tia land. Was told it came to earth from outer space. Mine is oval and about 2"x3"x1".

My first thought was, "The Moon". Looking for our flag, I took a closer look and I said, "nah".;) Those are some wierd looking craters Wade. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of an asteroid so close to being round. I thought they were all jagged and irregular chunks of rocks or broken of rocks. That thing is close to round, spherical or whatever it's called. Interesting photo Wade, thanks for sharing.

All depends on size, for rocky object I have heard that they need to be 300 miles or bigger. Vesta is about 326 miles.

I didn't see this until just now, 10 pm on the 3rd., and immediately knew what it was. I believe this is the south pole.
