Due to the policy of my employer, I have 6 vacation days that must be used before my service anniversary which is November 16.

If I don't use them, I will loose them. They can not be cashed out or carried forward into next year. However, my vacation day count will be reset to 10 (2 weeks) as of Nov. 17.

So I have selected 3 sets of Friday/Monday pairs that will make 4 day weekends. At least 2 of those will be spent camping.

Now I have to make up my mind where I want to go. Due to cost and schedule it has to be close by.

Hmm?

Me, now, I have a seven-day weekend this week. I had a seven-day weekend last week, too, and I'll have a seven-day weekend next week. In fact, I had 52 7-day weekends in the last year, and I expect 52 of them in the coming year.

Keep on working, and contributing to Social Security. I need it -- and I thank you.

I have the same situation (won't say problem) except I only have three days to work with.

It will also be close to home...
