The one thing I do not like is the 8.5 to 10 mpg towing at 63 to 65 mph. Dropped a good 1 mpg from the previous trailer...about 3000# lighter.

Still trying to figure out how to get a pair of coaxial cables up into the radio cabinet.

We figured since we are full time, we might as well be comfy. It has the radiant barrier and the A/C units cycles off in 97 degf weather in full sun. It has two 15 KBTUH heat pump units up top.

Nice rig no doubt about it I don't think my Tacoma would pull it though. I don't guess the mileage is really all that bad pretty much every one I talk to no matter what the camper or TV if the load matches the TV the mileage is about 10. Towing my 18' if I do 65-75 I get 10 if I slow down to 55 it gets maybe 13. I have talked to several people with the Ecoboast Fords and they go from 20-23 highway to 10 towing.

There are various hole-drilling machines that can help with that. .45 caliber is about right for RG8/U, but if instead you use RG58, you can make the holes with a .30-06.

All I have with me right now is a 20 ga.

The fuel consumption dropped about 1 mpg at 63 to 65 MPH...now 8.5 to 10 MPG as the trailer is about 2500# heavier than the previous trailer.

MAybe in the next day or two, I can get a temp cable run up to the radio. Power is in the cabinet right above the radio. I will run from a power supply rather than drag a large 12 VDC able across from the batteries.

The secret is to drill the hole large enough to pull the PL connector through.
Only use one hole per PL cable.

HF is nice, but don't forget the hole for the dual band antenna...

Your camper would be great for the VHF contests...

A 30-06 is .308, RG 8U is .405 - the h o l e would be .103 too small...

No, read it again. I said .30-06 for RG58/U, not RG8/U. I suggested a .45 for RG-8 and that's about right at .452 -- of course you have to install the connector after routing the cable. Even a .44 Magnum would work -- it's usually .429 diameter.
