Anyone planning a trip over Thanksgiving and the long weekend?

We had thought about it. Wanted to take my adult daughter with us, but her work schedule prevents her from coming along. Thought it mean to leave her home alone over a holiday, so we'll probably use the time to get ready for Christmas instead.

Anyone else going anywhere?

Finally got my coach out of the repair shop from earlier storm damage and I'm headed for the Texas Gulf coast tomorrow.
BTW if anyone wants my opinion of National General Insurance (GMAC) just let me know.

You asked for it, so here goes. NGIC (formerly GMAC) is affiliated with Good Sam, Camping World. Didn't know that until I was told that I had to use Camping World to have the hail damage repaired on my coach. One in Dallas and one in Houston. Not very convenient. However, I was given the option of using a Good Sam Gold Star facility in Louisiana. Boy was that a joke. It took 6 weeks to replace the AC shrouds, skylight and tv. Total hours labor spent was 3 hours. The NGIC reps were very unprofessional and basically told me to shut up and they would decide what needed to be repaired. I got my coach back with a very leaky roof, torn up slide toppers, and a much smaller tv than was originally installed. NGIC's response was that I could take it elsewhere to have it repaired, but they would not pay their Good Sam facility and of course the Good Sam facility would not release the coach until they were paid. Now the Good Sam facility will not return phone calls and they have an answering machine on their phone lines. NGIC, of course says that they have done all they will do. BTW my toad was also severely damaged by the storm and was repaired and returned to me 7 days after I made the appointment to get it into the shop. Hartford was in touch with me and shop at least 3 times to make sure everything was on schedule. Great service.
You asked and now you know that I am shopping for a new carrier. I hear that Progressive has great rates and excellent service.

I have had good service from Geico, and probably if I were you I would sue both the shop and your insurer. You were certainly ripped off. I would say actual damages plus suffering & inconvenience plus about a million punitive would be about right.
