Google has a Swine Flu Tracking Map up. Very interesting I thought.

We now have a case in Georgia, about 40 miles from here.

The good news is since I am now unemployed, I have little chance of contracting swine flu or any other medical malady except maybe callouses on my butt. School will be out in a month so that will curtail risk for everyone even further.

Maybe I should go hide in a state park somewhere? :hide:

You bring about a good point Wade. I never analyzed the possibilities as you did. I should expect that from a good engineer.

Your wife, being a school teacher, is in a lot of exposure to all types of illnesses carried by kids. I'm to the point I don't know what to believe about this bug. You hear all types of different stories about it thru the media. Some say it's blown out-of-proportion, others say it's not going to get bad until it reoccurs in the fall. Then I wonder if our government and/or the CDC really know much about this bug.

My daughter-in-law works in the school system as well and they have my #1 GrandSon (almost 6 months) to think about. Priscilla and I had him awhile yesterday afternoon. We spoil him so rotten that he smells and then we take him back to them across the street. That's an entirely different thread.:)

My odds are much greater, as I am immunosuppresed from my kidney transplant meds :(

I have a doc appointment, at the hospital, Tuesday that I may cancel just to stay away from all the sick people.

Don't blame you on the not going to where the sick folks are. I have had what I hope is just a bug. No coughing, no sneezing, no headache, no fever, but what goes in, goes right back out. Hoping it is just a case of eating something my system doesn't like.

They need to update the map. They are not showing the cases in Houston. I guess Houston is a non-entity as usual. FOURTH largest city in the county and it is often bypassed.

Someone has fallen asleep at the wheel Ken. They still don't show one in Houston. Our Governor, Charlie Crisp, says we have one in Florida now also. I don't see it, nor do I see the one Wade mentioned in GA.

Yep Jagco, I don't blame you for cancelling that appointment. The last thing any of us want to do right now is be around sick folks. This may go on for awhile.

I did have a problem, over the last few days, keeping anything down, and had a slight fever and headache. The transplant folks told me to stay home over the weekend, and have called to check on me. I seem to be considerably better, so apparently no swine flu :)
