Well, just watched the latest forecast for our area. TD#13 is slower than a turtle out there in the gulf. Should start raining tonight and continue through Monday. We should expect up to 9.5" Saturday with a 3 day total of upwards of 24". :jitter: Winds are predicted to be 60mph here inland.

Ought to be an interesting Labor Day weekend. I think I will plan on working inside. Glad the roof repair on the fiver is finished. Not so happy that I didn't get the new roof coating on though (oh well....) Don't think a blue FEMA roof (tarp) would do much good in the wind.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day:hello:

Sounds like it's going to get wet around your house. Sure wish we could get some of that in North Texas. Too bad it's all coming at once, but hoping the best for you.
Stay dry.

This morning looks as though "LEE" turned to the north during the night. We might just brush by this one. It has been raining very lightly all night (we needed that!). Looks like it is headed towards New Orleans and points east. Hopefully it wont get organized during the day.

Our local weather lady was going on about what a bummer Lee was going to be for the Gulf Coast and New Orleans in particular, but might be just the thing to fill up our local lakes and bring our official drought to and end.

It has been awhile since I needed to mow the yard.

These weather people crack me up. They always show the styrofoam cup blowing, standing out in a light breeze, wearing a real baggy rainsuit that looks like it might be blowing, leaning way over like they're really being blown around and the trees in the background are barely moving. Desperate for any kind of attention. They talk about a 30mph wind like it's a hurricane. On the coast, it blows like that every day. Looks like some of these New York based reporters need to come south more often and maybe they wouldn't look like such fools. Or not. Anyway, we need the rain. Except where I am right now in Colorado where it rains every afternoon. Looks like we may get a frost later this week.:waggle:

One man junk is another mans treasure.

Lee is now firmly ashore. Here in north central Georgia, the temps are 15 deg cooler than yesterday, lots of cloud cover, and the coming rains are an answer to prayer.

Ya'll just hang on down there in the Gulf.

It's all yours Wade. We got a long slow soak here for the past couple of days. Nothing like what was predicted. Hopefully you will get the same. Some of those bands look pretty ominous.

I found a leak around the A/C. It is time to replace the gasket. I have a new one in the garage. I repaired a couple of soft spots in the roof and got those fixed. I ordered a roof coating but could not get it on because of the weather. Hopefully I can coat the roof this coming weekend. I want to remove the A/C completely and roof under it. It takes 96 hours for the coating to cure so the A/C opening will be open for that time. I will build a cover for it but it will not be watertight.

So just went and looked. So far, we have received 7.2" of rain. for LEE. Way better that what was predicted. I think we dodged this one and got much needed rain out of it.

Think how envious you neighbors will be, sporting your brand new "Blue FEMA Tarp" atop the 5'ver.

And speaking of FEMA tarps, there's a bunch of them all around Atlanta now. It was quite a bumpy ride there for a while. Even the Weather Service was surprised at the number of tornadoes and the intensity of them that came though as a result of "Lee" coming ashore. Flooding in most all of the southern states.

No problem at this QTH however.

Glad to hear you "weathered" the storm...

We have been having beautiful weather here the past two days and the weather channel predicts great weather for at least the next ten days.

The air conditioner is off and am getting ready to reroof in the next couple of days. Now if I can only figure out how to get the one bolt out that broke off in the housing:fuss:
