OK, here we go on the pix. I don't know how this will come out.
The radio just sits very nicely using the front support on the dash. That way I can move it elsewhere if I want to.
The tuner is concealed in a void that was otherwise unused in the overhead.
The whip is a standard 102". Using this method you can always add wire to it with a clip and get more bands out of it.
Warning, mounting the antenna this high means you must tie it down when traveling!
OK, I got the tip. let's see if this method of posting works better for all.
