It was a pleasure to see my grown kids and all their cousins together and enjoying themselves. My wife and the inlaws are a musical bunch and they sat around and made music, improvising some Christmas carols.

Food was simple, turkey sandwiches and fixings. Easy cleanup.

And it all used to be so complex.

May the joy we had be yours.

Small and simple here. Myself and the wife and her grown daughter. Remainder of the family were out-of-town. Even though it was small, we had turkey, cornbread dressing, green bean cassarole, scalloped potatoes and more. I helped the wife but did little in comparison to her. I don't see how these ladies do it.

You know why there are so many parades and football games on Thanksgiving?

To keep the men and kids out of the kitchen so the ladies can get there work done!

Very good! Nothing like a free HF rig to motivate a tech to upgrade

Hey, getting my first HF rig after 38 years as a tech is why a year later the license class on my license started with "E" as in Extra.

I'm kind of fond of that license.

Had a lovely Thanksgiving, Daughter came and picked us up for dinner at here house, Her brand new Hubby cooked.. My broher (Whom I called while we were out of the park Wed) answered on his way home.. (His wife was driving) you see, he spend about a month in Hospital thanks to a serious heart attack and since nobody knew just how long he was down before he was discovered they were not so sure he was going to wake up.. took him a long time to wake up.. but he did and seems to be all there as it were.

Looks like he may be able to keep driving too.

And we got back to the RV park in time for the park Dinner as well.. Though in fairness I did not eat much here.

Sounds as though reporting in had a good Thanksgiving. Glad to hear it. I'm not much of a sports fanatic so no football here. I may watch a rival game occassionally. Something like Florida State Vs. U of Florida but that is even rare. I failed to watch it this passed week and don't know who won. Didn't they play?

Max, congratulations on your upgrade, after all those years. I'm sure you will not have a problem upgrading to Extra either. Keep up the good work. I knew that Ten Tec sounded familiar, so I Googled it. I remember the radio when it was new. It was the "Katz Meow" back in it's day and I'm sure it's still a very good radio. Here's a video of it on YouTube (
). Hurry up and get that station set up Max. You and I should probably be able to work easily on HF and Andy is not that far either. Radio is certainly correct about the motivation of a new radio.

John, sounds as though your family had a good holiday. Sorry to hear about your brother's health. Sounds as though he was lucky.

We are almost home from our Turkey Day trip. Went to DFW then up in to Kansas then to Nebraska and are now about 350 miles from home.

Had a great Thanksgiving with all of the wife's family, but definitely ready to be home. Will be back at work tomorrow.

No hamming while we were gone....Crysti won't let me put a rig in her van....

Thanks Andy. I'll take a look at the link. Might get some suggestions from it. I've been talking with Stephen, he has two Jeeps, so I thought he would solve my problem. His two Jeeps are one year earlier then mine. They made some big changes when my model came out, so the designs a different. I'll figure something out. I think I might be able to side mount it to the transmission hump.

Thanks again.

We had a good Thanksgiving.. Darling Daugher picked us up for dinner with her brand new family cook/husband (Hey, he does know how to cook it turns out). Then got us back here in time for the park/church Dinner (Though I have to admit I was a very "pickey" eater at that one, being as I was already near stuffed) and I still managed good Blood Glucose in the morning (Guessed close on the insulin dose I guess)

We finished our 2nd Turkey yesterday (Just soup left and that's not made yet)

One more turkey to go.
