Default ORR.net 5 year celebration and other stuff

With any luck you got the email blast about the 5 year birthday mark we are celebrating here at Open Roads Radio .net

For those who have wandered, welcome back.

And a bit of apology. I'm not an IT guy. About 2 years ago we began to be attacked by spammers/spam-bots, and we took measures to prevent such attacks. This required tightening up on the registration process.

V-Bulletin software is, I think, the best forum software out there, but the back office part can be a bit strange. Anyway I found a cache of some 40 wanna-be members stuck in the "limbo-bin" and just now forced them into the real user bin.

So for those folks, who also got the email blast, welcome aboard and join the fun.

I'll be checking the limbo-bin about once a week from now on.

Anyway, we've been here 5 years, planning on a few more, had a lot of fun and are looking forward to the future.

Galen, I had a 6.0 a few years back. Had every problem that was associated with that engine, Blown heads, blown turbos, head bolts pulled out, loose rods, ECM problems. Ford finally replaced the engine with another 6.0 and it started having the same issues. After a couple of years, they decided that I should trade it in on a 6.4. Gave me a very good deal and I traded. Took the 6.4 to a performance shop and had it "fixed" and 120,000 miles later, not one single problem. The 6.4 is a beast. I have not had Ford touch that truck and it's used as an equipment hauler, running over the road almost every day.
Good luck.

Galen, good luck with the 6.0L PSD. Everyone one I know has unloaded the things for something else. In July, I got a new 6.7L and that truck is awesome towing. It is 100% stock and does well with the 15000# plus 36' 5er.
