Default Retired Swabbie Onboard

Just discovered this forum via a member's post on the Forest River user's group. Good to find a place to exercise two of my passions in one spot. We have owned a 5er for several years (weekend camping), but upgraded to the coach upon retirement this spring. Thus begins a full-timer's quest. Although the coach is a 2008, it's new to us so I've not been able to bring myself to drill holes in the roof yet - but I'm getting closer. Any suggestions to keep me from letting out the smoke - and letting the water in? I'm eyeing a spot just above the front-mounted TV. I've found where the clearance lights are mounted, so I can avoid those. By the way, low band ops will likely be stationary, but I'd like to get to the roof for UHF/VHF and wifi/cell antennas. Thanks!

Ahoy, and welcome aboard. You could mount 2m antennas on the clearance lights!
