Default Is camping theraputic?

Is camping good therapy? My doctor thinks so. He wrote me this:

Now If I can just deduct the camper as DME expense. (Durable Medical Equipment, like a C-PAP machine or a wheelchair)

I have a friend who has an Rx for 2 games of golf each week. (I'm not a golfer, but my buddy is) I had to one up the guy! My doctor said that camping and golf are both good ways to get exersize and lower your BP, so he wrote me one.

The RX is a joke, but he is very serious about the health benefits of camping.

and wouldn't it be great if health insurance would cover the tab for fuel, camping fees, and trailer payments!

I find camping to very therapeutic for me, Sometimes I like to go on hikes, or go fishing, maybe play with my radios and sometimes I just like to relax in camp and just enjoy the great outdoors. What ever I decide to do while camping I always feel better and relaxed during and after camping. One of my favorite things to do is camp in the rain, I lover a rainy day with a good book and lots of naps.

Wife and I have been camping since 1971...we have owned our own trailers since 1978...we are on our 3rd RV....and just love the relaxation and cooking over a campfire. But, I also have my radio setup with me where ever I go in the 5th wheel. Nothing beats a good nap with the rain hitting the roof. Just sounds so good...also listening to the tree toads and the night owls...life is good...then I wake up and we have to go home...

We just moved up to an RV, last fall, from a tent, so rain was not a good thing at times. It really poured on us one weekend, last summer. Our campout turned into a muddy mess. Our first campout, in the RV, was also rainy. We sat inside and played board games and drank coffee. Very therapuetic!!

Been there done that (tent....pop-up.....now 32' camper) and enjoyed every minute of it although the dry days were more fun than the wet ones. Now with the permanent camper, sitting under the awning during a light summer rain is very theraputic. If the rain is too much then it's off to the QTH (2nd bedroom) or reading, dominoes, TV...etc.
Can't wait till Spring Thaw in NH and the roads are passable.

I want to see you write the monthly costs for the trip off with the IRS!
That could really be fun
