very tasty and unhealthy meal
I cooked tonite.
Now that you are over the shock, it wasn't that complicated.
Get out crock pot, put in liner, turn on.
add 1/2 cup water to pot.
take a beef roast 2 lb or so. Cube, trim fat, and throw in crock pot.
cut up 2 medium potatoes, throw in crock pot.
cut up 6 medium carrots, throw in crock pot.
cut up 2 medium onions, throw in crock pot.
open a can of soup, I used mushroom, add half the amount of water called for.
Pour into crock pot.
stir ingredients til mixed well.
put on lid, come back in 6 hours, serve.
If you have high cholesterol, go easy, everything is fat soaked from the beef, but it sure tasted good.

Absolutely!
Sweet Wife would make roasts like that all the time.
Then school started. And she went on a diet.

I do a lot of crock pot cooking and steaming of veggies and re-heats.. My favorite way to cook in fact, though I use lower fat methods.

Love that crock pot (slow cooker for some). Great for chili, sloppy joes, roasts, chicken, and other soups. Roast chicken is about the easiest. Just take a whole chicken, season it (don't forget to take out the giblets), drop it breast down in the pot, put it on high for an hour then low for another 6 or so hours. Don't add any water or other liquids to it, you will have a cup of liquid when you are finished (fat from the chicken). Falls off of the bone, take what remains after the meal and use that for chicken & noodles for another meal.
