Default new used O-scope

My brother (also a ham) made me an offer I couldn't refuse, give me a working HP 54600-A oscilloscope for shipping cost ($30).

He got it from a friends estate, and had no use for it.

Now the question, I haven't used a scope in 45+ years, anybody know of a good "beginners guide" for scopes?

Also, any favorite uses for a ham station?

Keep it simple for my somewhat deteriorated brain capacity.

Lots of user manuals on Google. It's been over 50 years since I put my hands on an "O" scope.

There are more things to check on. My brother moved truckloads of stuff from his friends house.

Hoping that an AF/RF generator is in the mix there somewhere.

So what's the QTH on this mother lode?

Wondering if it's worth the drive...
