I've been a member for a while, but never posted. Call is my Grand dad's call that I "acquired" under the priority for relatives for the vanity call sign, so I'm not quite as old as the call would indicate (Granddad was the first holder, and it was issued to him when the FCC started issuing the 1X3 calls in the 30's.
The family is my Wife Cathy and 4 cats.
RV is a Holiday Rambler Presidential 5th wheel and a 1 Ton Dually Ford Diesel.
Primary HF is a MKIIG in the car (both for HF and VHF). Don't have a shack at the house, but have some of the older rigs (HW-101, HW-2036A, HW-5400, etc) that we have used in the past and just not passed on. They all still work, and I have the mobile supply for the HW-101. I operated it mobile for a long time. before I built the HW-5400.
Started out mobile as I was single active duty USN living in the barracks, so didn't have a place for a fixed station, and just kept it up. Always have the shack with me

Welcome aboard Ralph! You'll find a great bunch of folks here that are interested in what you have to say and will try to answer your questions if they can. We used to have a 32' Zinger TT, but now are seasonal with a park model in NH. I used to have an HW-101, but sold it when I became inactive for a while. Still kicking myself for that one.
Again, welcome aboard!

Glad to see you posting and knocking some dust off the forum

I still have my HW101 set up in the shack and turn in on from time to time.

Welcome aboard.

Good morning Ralph and welcome aboard. I've not been real active as of late on the forum but maybe I'll change that.

I ran a HW-101 and a HW-12 years back. I wish I still had one of those old rigs. I didn't do the construction of them but they were good radios and you got a lot of bang for your buck.
