Default 3rd Stop going West

This is a regular RV park "resort" in Vidalia, LA just across the Mississippi river from Natchez, MS. They honor Passport America, for a 50% discount. A very nice clean park in the banks of the Mississippi River. I stopped here on my way back also. They have full hook ups, lousey cable, weak WIFI but other than that it is very nice at $22 (discounted price). I noticed on the way back that the river was up maybe 2-3' from the 2 weeks previous, it was June 4th on the way back, so a lot of run off from the rains up North. A couple pictures posted of the site but please note the aluminum travel trailer and see if you can figure out just how long it was. I'm thinking 40' since it covered the entire concrete pad. The name of the place is Riverview RV Resort. They have a pool and a little trinket store in the office area.

If you like riverfront parks, check out Mark Twain RV park in West Memphis, Arkansas.
the front row backs up to the Mississippi River.
Do call in advance since the record high water mark is about 12 feet up on the side of the bath house.

The Riverview RV park has flooded several times. It is on the river side of the levee just south of the bridge over the Mississip. I didn't notice how high the Red River was in Alexandria, LA. I did see how high the Trinity River was south of Livingston, TX, further downstream it was a BIG problem around Liberty TX It didn't stop raining until 2 days before we left to come back home. SW Houston had a LOT of rain and a number of (stupid) people drownded when they drove their cars aound barricades an into underpasses. That used to happen in Denver on the "Valley Highway" (in 1962) and is now I-25. They used to send divers into the underpasses to check for cars.
