Default Logging Software

Seeking the opinion of the forum at large...

For my upcoming trip to Dauphin Island I'd like to do all my logging with software. Any suggestions?

Said logging software must be

1. Free
2. Easy use and set up
3. Output file compatible with Logbook of the World

And if it would interface with my Kenwood TS570 that'd be great. But not a deal breaker if it doesn't.

What say ye?

Well.. I use YP-LOG but there are a lot of them out there.. I tried about half a dozen.. YP-LOG was free

There is also a program called QSL-MAKER I have, it prints my "Fancy" QSL's. It contains some log software as well... But YP interfaces with the PFSK software I use and that is a big plus.

Consider digital as one of your operating modes please.. Lots of range with few watts

I use http://www.n3fjp.com/
It's not free, but very cheap, and works well with LOTW.

I wasn't going to mention ACLog by n3fjp because he asked for free. But I agree, it's cheap, can read frequencies (bands) from the rig and can output to LOTW and eQSL as well. If you're into contesting, You can get the whole n3fjp CD (or download) which includes most of the major contesting programs and updates are free.

I found XMLog and that seems to do everything I want.

http://www.xmlog.com/

Ya'll chech that out and see what you think, based on simple, free and LOTW compatible. It will also read the Kenwood for freq and the laptop for time and date.

I've been using Logger32. It's free, does exports and uploads to LOTR and works with Windows Vista as well as the other flavors of Windows. The logging windows are quite customizable also.
