Default My Motor Home Antenna Mount

Here is my three-way, tilt-over antenna mounting set-up on my motorhome. It was made by my friend Tom, W7WAF. It is made of two inch stock, angle iron, a hinge and a hitch pin and mounts into a standard 2" trailer hitch receiver. I usually use two or three sections of 4 foot by 1 3/4" standard aluminum mast, into which I insert a 3 section, 23 foot telescoping
aluminum paint pole. I then raise my inverted vee antennas by hoisting them through a pully at the top. This puts the apex of the inverted vee at about 30 to 34 feet off the ground.

Fig 1 shows the mount in the vertical position.
Fig 2 shows the mount positioned in the right-hand direction. By removing the hitch pin and reversing the center section, the antenna can be raised from the left-hand direction.
Fig 3 showss the antenna hinge bolt removed and the antenna being raised from the rear of the motorhome.
Fig 4 shows the hitch. The length of the horizontal section that is inserted into the hitch receiver will vary, depending on the clearance required for any ladders, spare tires etc.
Fig 5 is a closeup of the top of the mount.

The 21 foot telescoping mast is a Longarm Pro-Lok 2324, available at Home Depot in Dallas, TX. I coundn't locate any 3 sections paint poles here on the West Coast. It usually needs to be guyed in the fore and aft positions when it is windy. The mount is powder coated black and everything is else is painted camo green.

Maybe this will give you some ideas.
