She was 19 when we tied the knot
I remember that day cause it was so hot
It's been 38 years
All joys, few sorrows or fears.
And together twice as long as not.

Did you ever notice in old wedding pictures, the bride never goes out of style.

There sure are a lot of syllables in some of those lines. It reminds me of an oldie:

There was a young lass from Spokane
Whose limericks never would scan.
When someone asked why,
She replied with a sigh,
"It's because I always try to squeeze as many syllables into the last line as ever I possibly can."

Hearty congratulations on the anniversary, even if not on the limerick.
