And this thing is eating the entire southeast!

My local skywarn group plans on being active from 8 AM to Mid-night today (Sat. Mar 28). There are already severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings in GA below Columbus.

Now the good news in all of this is that the bad weather cycle is out of sync with my camping plans! Yeah it still wipes out (another) furlough friday 3 day weekend, but next week we go to the Georgia coast all week on spring break!

The little Midland Wx Radio started alarming about 1:30 this morning and continues to go off. There have been several tornados around us. The air-raid warning sirens have been activated twice. Hopefully the bad stuff has passed. We remain under a Tornado Watch intil 1800 hrs.

This park has a storm shelter. It's a WWII bunker buried on the grounds. That's comforting.

Glad you have a WX SAME radio! Glad you use the thing!

What a rare thing to have a real severe weather shelter that was actually made for the purpose! I wonder if we could lobby Trailer Life and Woodalls to include in their listings whether or not the campground has a storm shelter?
