Can you please provide a tutorial on how and where to upload photos, and how to embed photos in a post. I know how, but I'm sure many do not and it might help to liven things up with a few photos. Just a thought.

And before you utter the words, I am not a tutorial writer! Hi hi!

Thanks! I started a thread hoping to get folks to share photos and I thought it would help to link to a photo tutorial.

There are two ways to post images, and both require the full editor tool.

Method "A" click the insert image button, (5th from right, looks like a post card of mountains with a stamp on it) That will bring up a dialog box and you type in the URL of the image you want to insert into your post. Has the advantage of placing the image into your text right where you want it.

Disadvantage: If a password is required on the image URL this will not work. Also it will quit working if the URL changes or the image server is down.

Method "B" Up load image to the ORR.net server. Scroll down the editor page until you see the "Manage Attachments" button. Click that. A dialog box appears that allows you to browse for the image to be uploaded. Select the image(s) and click "upload". You can upload from your computer or another URL.

Disadvantage: Takes some time with larger or multiple images. Image only appears at the bottom of post.

And that's how you stick your pics on ORR.net.

With method A, you will need to first upload your photo to an online service such as www.PhotoBucket.com (http://www.PhotoBucket.com). Then you will need to copy the 'Direct Link' URL and paste it into the aforementioned dialogue box.
