Well as of Last Thursday night I am now an EXTRA !!!

I really wanted to get this step behind me before the test pool changed at the end of June.

Was not quite ready, but went ahead and took it thinking I would have two shots left to pass.

I did it and now it is on to cw for the next goal...

I keep putting off studying more for the extra class. I am not a sample test memorizer. I really want to know the theory behind the answers....guess the engineer keep popping up.

I got my first license (Novice) Spring of 1968.... Tec in the fall, later changed to Tec + when they came out with No-Doce Tec.

Did not upgrade to General (Even if all it took was filling out a form) till Spring of 2006, and Extra that Thanksgiving.

Problem with being an Exta... Nothing to upgrade to.

Oh by the way. Congratulations on making it. Enjoy the extra bandwidth!.

(You see, that is why I had to upgrade. My radio (The TS-2000 I got about an hour after I upgraded to general) did not have the proper General Class band limits. So I had to fix it,, The easiest way to do that was to UPGRADE to Extra. )

Thanks all... I now know what I don't know

Time to get busy and keep on learning. The one thing I have found out in my short time in the hobby is how far reaching ham radio is and how much there is to learn. The more I read the more I realize how little I know.

Course, that goes with all things in life I suppose. I tell my girls that everyone should learn something new every day. I know I will never run out of things to learn!
