tomorrow we drive to from Colorado to Omaha to pick up the 5er.

its been in the shop since Oct 19. All work done under warranty, so that was nice.

we will be storing it temporarily until we head south after Thanksgiving. Then I can get back to working on more antenna ideas for the shack.

It has been nice visiting with kids and grandkids in their house, although my granddaughter really wants her bedroom back for a few days.

We probably need a break also.

Who is doing the work, AC Nelson? They have been around forever. I grew up in the Council Bluffs, SW Iowa area. Born on the farm east of Council Bluffs and raised on farms around the area. I moved from there in the early 1970's to the north side of Dayton, OH (1 mile from Hara Arena) and AC Nelson was in business then. I guess Leach Camper Sales has been sold to Camping World now, another old RV sales company. Are you headed for S. Texas then after Thanksgiving? Lots of rain in the Austin, Waco, San Antonio area, DD lives in Magnolia (NW Houston) and a lot of rain there also.

You guessed correctly, we bought the unit from them in Omaha last October.

We pick it up tomorrow :-)

After Thanksgiving we are looking towards Arizona, we will mosey over to California in December to visit son and family at Ft Irwin, CA, then decide where to go from there.

Question on gas absorption fridges. We have had issues on and off over the last year where the fridge just wont cool. Tried both gas and electric, doesn't work. Then a random number of days/weeks later, I test it and its fine.

It ALWAYS is working while at a dealer (twice now), and won't fail when someone is looking at it.

I'm beginning to suspect an intermittent connection, maybe the sensor "thingie" (thermistor?) inside the fridge.

Anyone had similar issues? This is a Dometic brand.
