Our local club made the papers, albeit just the ARRL press release. But P T Barnum was supposed to have said "any publicity is good publicity"

Nice write up for Fayetteville. I don't see Wade in the photo. To pick a couple nits, there was no explanation for what ARRL stood for and also at the very bottom there was mention of a novice beginners license which is no more. Other than that it was very nice, our club in Paulding County usually gets a small article on field day also but I rarely pick that paper up (or even the Atlanta Urinal).

Our field day from a year or two ago made the cover of QST this year. Does that count?

We sort of, they set off the smoke detectors in the building we were using to cook food for the team that of course brought the Conway fire dept and nothing gets past the local paper! The section manager from the ARRL showed up but he did not get to see the fire engines.

I don't have the direct link but it was the June issue where they featured field day. The inset picture on the front and on the advertising insert was from our operation, I think 2014.

On Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/QST-MAGAZINE-JUNE-2016-FIELD-DAY-ISSUE-AMATEUR-HAM-RADIO-ARRL-NEW-UNREAD-/172212799107?hash=item2818aec683

That's a unique way to get the 100 points for safety.

I forgot about that we did have a safety officer! I think he was still asleep from playing radio all night.
