Floor sagging along curbside wall

I'm finding this to be a bit disturbing.

Was cleaning up and servicing our Rockwood 8280SS getting it ready for some fall camping. While mopping the floor I noticed the floor sagging along the curbside wall from the entry door, under the big side window back to the kitchen cabinets. It's as if the floor has "folded" along a crease. There is a channel for wiring made into the floor right along where the crease is.

When I measured the sag with a square, there is enough room to get a pencil under the square.

Does this happen often? There doesn't seem to have ever been any water egress. (at least not here, anyway) While I'm not at all happy with it, this is a 2008 built trailer and I'm wondering if it's worth worrying about. Or will the curbside wall someday just fall off into the yard?

It doesn't (yet) interfere with enjoying the camper.

Anybody else with this issue?

I am thinking I'd avoid this unit... If the floor is sagging like that, out past the frame rails, odds are the wall is sadding as well, and this means the roof is likely leaking, and there is much hidden damage from moisture in the unit... Of course.. that's odds, I could be all dry.

Yeah the floor sags out past the frame rails, but there doesn't appear to be ANY signs of water damage anywhere in the area. Just below the large picture window in the curb side and above the axles.

The floor doesn't even feel mushy, fairly firm, just "bent"

I'm trying to get some idea of how the floor is constructed in this trailer. I know the top layer is quite thin, and there is a Styrofoam "sandwich" type construction. Also there is a wiring channel built into the floor that seems to run right along where the floor starts to sag.

Hopefully it won't get worse, and I'm pretty sure this wasn't caused by rot or water damage.

It looks like the whole wall has dropped. Your square touches the trim strip in the middle. If it was just the floor sagging, the bottom of the trim strip would still line up with the main part of the floor. Is there any evidence of the wall sagging on the outside of the trailer?

How far along the wall does this condition exist?

Most of these rigs have a OSB substrate under the carpeting or vinyl. On my Cougar, it's a full 5/8" thick, but I can't tell you what the Rockwood should be. Can you find a 2009 sales brochure or spec sheet on the Rockwood website? That might give you some insight to the construction of the wall and floor.

Last question: Do you know anyone that has a moisture meter? It might be very worthwhile to do some testing in that area. Better to find it early on.
