Kidde (pronounced "KID-duh") has recalled a boat load of fire extinguishers. Many of those little cheap white ones that come in RV's are affected. Particularly those with plastic pull-pins or handles. Not sure what the failure mode is.
Of note: At our airline we had a minor fire in a piece of ground support equipment just last week. The ramp guys handled it well and got proper kudos, especially since they went through 3 different fire extinguishers before they got one that worked.
Needless to say management wasn't happy and the fire equipment vendor has some explaining to do.
Anyway, they're giving away free replacements. Go check your gear.
