VP6DX is now active from Ducie Is.
Worked on 80m last night but (probably due to my ant) can't seem to work him on 10, 15, 0r 20m today.

80 was open last night and I got 'em first call at 0800 GMT.
I talked to them Sunday afternoon (I think on 17 but it could have been 20) from the MH with the 102" whip.

Worked them on 17m yesterday while portable 4 in Florida (Venice). Was using Yeasu FT-857D w/LDG Z100 and 20m dipole about 6' above the ground. I'm using ACLog by n3fjp and it comes up as Pitcairn Is. not Ducie. Am I missing something?

You don't need much of an antenna, worked them on 10,12,15,17,20 and 80 on a 32 foot piece of wire and 100 watts.
Go here for times, freqs and splits! http://ducie2008.dl1mgb.com/ or google VP6DX.
Just worked VP6DX on 40 mtrs, 19:45 local Az time!!

N1ORK, If you look at a map Ducie is in between the Pit Cairns and Easter Island but I think it is considered part of the Pit Cairn Islands.

Thanks AE5BI. I see that, but since Ducie is a seperate DX entity, shouldn't it have it's own unique call or prefix or suffix? Like when I'm operating portable 4, I sign n1ork/4. I know that the 4 area covers a lot of states, but they're all in the same DX entity (USA). Maybe it doesn't really matter, but I'm sure that some of the users of AClog who didn't know of the DXpedition were as confused as I was.
Thanks and 73
I found them on 17 yesterday and he told me they were also up and running on 15, 12 and 10.
I made contact on all the bands.
Who says proagation is bad. All I have is the RV rig shown below and we had 5/9 all the way.
