Today is D Day. 64 years ago 165,00 allied troops stormed the Normandy beaches. 2500 of them (1465 Americans) died doing so.
They were the generation that saved civilization. Please take a moment to remember them.

Like my grandfather(WWI) and father(WWII) before me, I(Vietnam) too served this country. We were not the heroes, the real heroes never came home. God bless the heroes.

I work for a Hospital and the Hospital owns a Assisted living, skilled nursing and Alzheimer building where several WWII vets live. I always thank them for making this a better place to live. One of the guys was a pilot who was shot down over Germany and was a POW for several years. His story is very interesting and I have found his name on the internet in Stalag Luft 13 where he lived. I won't go into detail with his story but he is a great american and I'm a better person just knowing him. I will never forget.
