Then I wouldn't have to make a post like this one...

Due to spammers we have had a process in place where the site software, unassisted, would send out an email to new members. They then would click a link and like magic they become members.

We may have lost our magic, because at least two people have tried to join and then could not make posts. If that has happened to someone you know, please advise them we have discovered the issue and all should be able to post now.

I'll try to be on enough to keep the site clear of spam and trolls. If you come across one, send me a PM and I will deal with it.

I may ask some of you who are on a lot to become Moderators and give you access to the ULTIMATE SPAM KILLER button.

Thanks Radio and in addition we will be adding some software upgrades hopefully tomorrow (If I get time) and a quick button for admins and mods to clean up a "spam" mess in one or two clicks.

We are trying to get it as smothly as possible to join but have protection from the spammers.

This is a problem I see on every forum I belong to and it is a shame that we have to put up with it and it causes frustration to the real users. Don't these people know that we are in no way going to use what they are trying to sell, especially sense they disrupt our normally well run forum.
