Orlanodo "HamCation" Hamfest and Computer Show

Curious to know if anyone on ORR is attending the Orlando Hamfest Feb 11-13 this year. ? Understand you can camp in the fairgrounds. Not sure of the facilities for camping. I have never been to it, but am thinking about it. Just wanted to know of potential opportunities for other members to eyeball.

Good Morning Mark,

I, probably like everyone else on the forum, received a flyer about the Orlando HamCation (http://www.hamcation.com/). I've never been and doubt that I will attend this year. My son Chris, N4XCI, has been a couple of times and said it is great. Lot's of folks from here around Panama City make it an annual event and travel in Ham Radio Caravans for the weekend. It's only about a 6 hour drive from here. The flyer says they have water and electric for RV'ers with a dump station for $22 a night. Most likely a big open area since I see it takes place at the Orlando Fairgrounds.

I see the HamCation (http://www.hamcation.com/) also coincides with Speedweek at Daytona and the Daytona 500 (http://www.daytona500.com/)on Sunday, February 15th. Now a ham that enjoyed NASCAR (http://www.nascar.com/) could kill two birds with one stone. Wonder how they managed that ?;)
