2009 Route 66 On-The-Air

The event runs from Sept 12 through Sept 20. Nationally, the event will include Apx 20 locations scattered along the entire Route 66 highway, from Santa Monica to Chicago. These stations are manned by volunteer operators, often operating from famous sites along Route 66, ranging from restaurants to museums to tourist attractions. Link to the site http://www.w6jbt.org/

I’ll be out as W6H/M66, working on a Pre 1938 section of RT66, which is NM6 now, its just west of Los Lunas, New Mexico. Ill be doing this after I get off from work, around 2200z, working mainly on 20m and some 40m. Not sure where on the bands, it will be on SSB.

I'm glad to see operators posting their desire to keep RTE 66 alive..... Hope I get my Ten-Tec 564 back from Tennessee by then.
