I'm getting this on a little late. Here is the web site:

My good friend (since we were teens) NF4A got called at the last minute to do this operation when another ham had to back out.

Some of the guys in Panama City (Florida that is) have worked them on 20 meters and 17 meters. Listen up for K4M.

Yeah, heard them on 20 & 17 at about 4x4 but they didn't hear me, too many big guns out there ......Maybe later. They stop on the 19th.

Your friend is going to Midway island, how cool is that. Unfortunately for him he is probably flying in. I say this because the first thing he will notice is how small Midway is, but everything looks small when you fly in. Try approaching the Island by ship(Destroyer Escort), not more than 30 feet above the water. You would be able to see the entire island and all the way across the island to the sea on the other side, it is very small. The whole island was dominated by the airstrips and goonie birds when I was there. We were there for 3 hours and one beer then it was back to sea for a few more weeks.
