No, not us.

Back when we first got the camper, our schedules worked out that Memorial Day weekend was the only chance we would have to take the trailer out for a while, so we took the plunge, along with every other RVer in the state. The crowd was well mannered, but a crowd is still a crowd.

It would have been nice to have a friend with some private land to retreat to. So we figure the 4th will be about the same.

Next weekend we are escaping to High Falls SP. I Asked Sweet Wife where do you want to go and she said "Anywhere with a pool."

So we're off to High Falls. Mean time there's stuff to do in the yard, hot dogs to grill, and free fireworks to enjoy.

Watch out for the scattered thunderstorms. :rain:

Home at the stick house in Texas for the 4th. Leaving in a couple of days for Colorado. We're going to stay out of Texas until mid-September. Hopefully it will be below a 100 by then. Since I'm retired, it's not necessary to fight the crowds in the campgrounds and the traffic during a holiday period.
There won't be any fireworks at the casa this year. Most of Texas is under a burn ban and all fireworks are prohibited.
Happy 4th everyone and remember the troops.

Camping July-4... Yes, and the other 364.242424 days a year as well.

Currently in Michigan's Oudoor Adventure LAKESHORE resort Google "outdor Adventures" for more info on this jam-packed park.

Nope:
Thought about it, but the material for the new privacy fence landed on the side yard, so we spent the weekend putting up. Almost finished. Hopefully this weekend we can get that chore out of the way and then have time to go "visit" a campground.

Went last year and the campground was very crowded.
