I am considering changing my lights over to LEDs but have heard that they cause RFI on amateur radios. Has this problem been resolved and if so which brands are RFI free??

Thank you for all replies in advance.

Some do, Some don't.. Pick up a hand full of .1 and .01 and so on and solder them across the pins if you have to. (That's mfd or mmfd capacitors) The standard RFI supprression caps..

Never Actually have experienced any RFI from led's themselves , But have seen some from " LED CONTROLLER'S " which are used to dim or "smooth" power to multiple led's ( I don't use them, the controller's that is ) .
As John pointed out , a cap across the led should clean it up though, I'd have some on hand and be ready to do some filtering , and if you don't use them for the camper they are always handy other places .

I have a few LED flashlights and use them around the radio ( IC-7000 ) without consequence. Never gave it a thought until you asked, maybe the flashlight is different?

I've never had LED's cause RFI, but I do have some slimline ballasts that are a pain. If anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with them, other than replace them with LED's, it would be appreciated.
