Of course you can always do what I do.. I use an auto tuner (There is a new one out that works with ANY radio, you feed power down the coax using a Bias T conneciton and it does everythign, NO chat with the radio at all) and hook 100' of wire on the terminal. Toss over tree limb, Transmit.
