You can weld the doors shut and bond the exhaust to the radio use a 100' of copper and you will still have all most worthless ground plane. Vehicles make very bad ground planes for HF. The bed of my pick is composite my HF still works. The key is a resonate antenna and not worrying about the fact you are working QRP with a 100 watts.
