In the school system I grew up in, you were not allowed to wear Rat Fink (or similar) T shirts. But the stickers were all over everything!
And being a gear head, of sorts, I liked the Rat Fink culture. Not into 50's cars, but I really, really wanted to build a VW Beetle based dune buggy!
