Remember when the pumps were out in the weather with no shelter over them?
Then somebody thought people might buy gas in the rain if they had a shelter. And they did buy gas in the rain, and for a few pennies more, too. And they liked the shelter in the blistering heat, the snow, and at night, too.
Now that guy, who finally saw the obvious, was a marketing genius.
We still have one gas station here with no shelter. But only one.
