We got the last rain from Fay yesterday. We were fortunate. We ONLY got about 5 inches total. There are still places in Florida with flooding problems. Tallahassee one of them, just a few miles from us.
Now I guess we get ready for "Gustav". He may get a little more serious.
One good thing from Fay. The creek behind our home has come back up to normal levels. It's noted for the best flyfishing in the area as well as record sized large mouth bass. The extended drought we've had lowered it to extremely low levels. It is a tributary to the Chattahoochee/Apalachicola Rivers. It's nice of the Georgia folks to release some water to us Floridians. This "water war" thing has really been a problem for us here.
