We don't see gas wars like they used to have in the OLD days (50's-60's). I remember filling the tank for 9 cents/gal. That didn't even cover the 11 cent/gal tax. Normal prices were <> 25cents. That little event only lasted about 1/2 hour and was only in one little neighborhood but if you were lucky you might catch a gas war once or twice a month. Now days there are few independent dealers so the stations don't go for the bait.
