That's interesting Wade. One of the prosecutors I worked with for about 12 years (he just retired as County Judge) is related to the McCoys. He's from the Maryville, TN area originally.

That post about no responses was basically in jest. I caught just a few minutes on the History Channel yesterday where there were several historians, writers, professors and so on talking about how the flick was made. They gave the actual facts of "The Feud" with old photographs and other documentation. I would like to catch this part on again and record it. It was very interesting. The movie apparently did not stray too far from the actual facts. There was a lot more to it then just a feud between two families. It was lingering effects of the Civil War and a lot of politics involved between governors, etc... It was a mini Civil War in some respects. Very interesting.

The movie is out on DVD if anyone cares to look at Walmart.
