If the trip is long, I like to plan in detail. The exit guides and Street Atlas give me all the tools I need to plan a trip, especially the all important fuel stops. I run Street Atlas again on the laptop while mobile. Sweet Wife can find what ever unexpected need we may have by looking in the exit guides. She doesn't get to run the Street Atlas navigation software enough to remember how to use it from one trip to the next, so I'd rather it not be fooled with while we are driving.
