Default TS Beryl off SC and GA coasts

I'm interested to see what this one will do. The wx guys evidently don't think it's going to be too serious. It could sure bring some of us in the SE some much needed rain. The drought conditions have been going on for several years now.

I just saw this Tweet from Jim Cantorie of the Weather Channel:

Jim Cantore @JimCantore
Because #Beryl is a subtropical storm its impacts will linger well after landfall. The wind field and rain extend well out from the center.

I only hope it moves far enough inland to give our are some needed rain.

When the TV weather people here were first talking about Beryl the models were showing it doing a loop-de-loop then making landfall at Jacksonville, skating across the panhandle and winding up in the Gulf where it would make all sorts of further mischief.

Now it looks like it's landfall at Jacksonville, then a hard right northwards up through GA, and dance along the SC/NC coast before wandering off into the Atlantic to fizzle out.

Hopefully, dumping copious amounts of rain along the way.

Sounds good to me. I'll be in Charleston in a week, and Beryl will wash my windshield -- a task that otherwise requires a stepladder.

[Later] Oh, phoo -- it'll be gone by then. [sigh]

Here's a shot out of the Jax Radar using my GRLevel3 software. I've not read a wx report this morning, but seems to be slow moving and not a lot of rain right now. Maybe as the sun gets a little hotter during the morning it will strengthen and produce more rain. I wish I could put it in motion on the forum, just not able to.
