Default JTV Vertical...like Comet CHA250B

I mounted one of these on the back ladder of my 5th wheel. I used a 10' joint of 1-1/4" EMT plus an additional 5' section. This places the base of the JTV about 18' above grade. To my surprise, the antenna does a fairly decent job. The first time I use it I managed contacts on 10,15, 17,20 and 40m with my 200 watt TS480HX.

It take about 20 minutes to assemble it and get it up.

I have everything in 6' or shorter sections. The antenna is marked to go back together and each section is locked with two small bolts. I clamp the antenna to the top 5' section of EMT, lean the assembly against the RV and climb up on the roof. Lift the antenna and set it in the top EMT coupling. I run the RG8X up to the front bay where I have the coax terminated to connect to the radio.

Set up takes maybe 15 minutes.

It all fits in the rear compartment on the Carriage Cameo.
