Default Howdy from Texas

Hello,

I sure am glad to have found this forum! This site is just a wealth of knowledge for two of my favorite obsessions...I mean pastimes!

I am a relatively new ham, first licensed in 2010, but I've been RV'ing since '89 and try to combine the two when I can. I've been looking to set up a more permanent station for the motorhome and I found this site while searching for better antenna solutions for the coach.

Looking forward to joining in and learning from the experiences of the group and helping out when I can.

73,

Bob

Hello Bob, from a fellow Texan. I follow my three hobbies (or obsessions) about 10 months out of the year. RVing, Ham radio and fishing. I use a Comet CHA250 mounted to the rear ladder when time and space permit. It gets a lot of bad press, but it just works. If I can't put up the Comet, I use a Tarheel screwdriver. The CB antenna that came with the MH works great on 2m, 440. Don't know how that happened, but I don't knock success. Holler if you need help.
