Default HF frequency favorites??

Hello gang....I'm new here. I'm still 3 years away from doing the rv retirement thing. Just got the tow vehicle...now researching 5th wheels.

My question is this...are there any hf frequencies where I'm likely to hear you folks congregating?

Higher frequencies during the day lower during the night. If you like nets netlogger.com might work for you. To me part of the fun is just tuning around and joining in when things get interesting.

When it's open, I always liked 15 meters, less crowded than 20 meters.

Also 17 meters seems to be less crowded. With a modest antenna and 100 watts, I can make a lot more contacts that fighting the 20 meter 6 element beam with a kilowatt group.
Nothing wrong with those stations, it's just that there is less chance to have a chat rather than on 15 or 17 due to the number and strength of those signals.

Look forward to seeing you on the bands.

Try 60 meters after dark that's a fun band lot of people that like to just talk and the playing field is level with 100 watt erp.
