W9MCG -- Gene? -- back to your antenna tipper. After studying the photos a bit more, I think I begin to see how it works: the window motor is mounted a little distance away from the antenna pivot and actuates the pivot through a pushrod and a bellcrank. Am I somewhere near right?
That is a really slick way of doing it. It makes it easier to design, fabricate, and install; and by using a shorter or longer bellcrank, the angle through which the antenna rotates can be different from the angle through which the actuator (window motor) rotates, and you can make that angle exactly right.
Elegant! Beautiful!
