Default American Bald Eagle

For the first time in my 54 years I saw an American Bald Eagle on the wing and in "habitat" as he cruised in circles over my sub-division.

Wow, magnificence is not by accident, but rather purposeful design.

Georgia was down to about 50 known nesting pair some years ago. The GA DNR has done a fabulous job of bring them back.

Hopefully, "my" eagle is settling down in the neighborhood and not just passing through.

They are great aren't they Wade? Went on an Alaskan cruise a few years back and got to see them fairly close up. What a magnificent bird!

The first time I saw one ...it was WOW. They are magnificent. I have also seen a juvenile in flight as well.
