Default Durango Colorado?

Anyone have a park recommendation for Durango Colorado?

We are going in June and need to get something lined up.

We are leaning towards the United Campground but would love to hear any other suggestions.

Your selection suites me fine. I am attracted by the train.

There are two others that I would consider.

Please report back after your trip with your opinions of the area.

We will be out that way in October.

Will do Jim. We love that area! The last time we were there we stayed at the Durango Riverside Resort and RV Park. Very nice, but the sites were way too close for our liking, and it is a bit further out of town. We are looking forward to being up there in June.

I've stayed at United several times. Nice park, friendly staff and the train runs through four times a day.

Sorry for not posting sooner.

We had a great week in Durango! We absolutely love Colorado and the Durango/Silverton/Ouray area is just gorgeous.

We spent the week at United Campground and loved it. The park is quite nice, good facilities and staff. we had a great site right by the railroad tracks and really enjoyed seeing the train every day.

We had one very exciting day when a wildfire broke out about a quarter of a mile from us. We were right on the river and the helicopters came right overour heads to refill their buckets in it. It was quite a show!
