VHF/UHF handheld radio recommendation
I have not had a handheld VHF/UHF radio for a number of years so I'm thinking of adding that to the inventory for this summers trip.
Seems that 2m/70cm units are popular, looking for recommendations of features to get.
This will be for just monitoring as I drive, or asking directions to places as we travel.
Being retired, trying to balance cost with performance.
What has your experience been with the Chinese radios ( Baofeng and Wouxon) ?
Would like to stay under $100 for basic radio.
Not opposed to used units either, so any good older units from the big 3? (Y,I, and K)
